Previous Day Day1111 Next Day
There is something that I recall from my past that kind of fits to the situation I'm in right now. When I was still an apprentice in the School of Justice of Insomida, I met this girl and asked her out on a date because I thought she was cute, or at least that's what I told myself because I'd been desperate (like every man at that age without a girlfriend I guess). To my surprise she accepted my invitation and so we went to Scarlat's (that bar was still in it's early days back then) and had a lot of fun. There was a special event planned as well by Scarlat himself, it was a dance event, so we also got to dance a bit. A lot of people attended that little event and the bar was overcrowded. But it still was a lot of fun. Until that guy came along - I hadn't known him yet - and just took her away and danced with her. I got so angry and jealous that I just stepped up to him and hit him in his face and knocked him down. And the girl yelled something at me and slapped me so hard that I saw stars on the ceiling of the bar. I went outside, holding my left cheek. Someone followed me, I turned around and saw that it was the guy I hit in the face.
He saluted and said: "I apologize, sir! I didn't know you both were here together. Men shouldn't fight over a woman." He didn't look at me while saying this, instead he stared into the distance, like a real warrior of the Military School. I felt so ashamed, and this whole situation was so ridiculous that I didn't know if I either should cry or laugh. I just grinned and shook his hand.
"My name is Antaran. Antaran Sivand. Nice to meet you. I accept your apology, and I'm sorry as well, I hope I didn't break your nose or something," I said.
He smiled. "Thank you, sir! People know me by the name Tartek!"
We went back in, laughing together like we'd been friends forever.

Carana isn't at home yet. I guess she'll stay another day, at wherever she is right now. Strangely I stopped worrying about her when I woke up today. Something tells me that she's safe and that, when she returns, everything will be fine again. At least, that's what I hope...
