The princess left the town accompanied by a huge parade. I really believe she's the Goddess of Ego. I have never seen a human that enjoys having so many people around so much like she does. It's almost like she needs attention to live. Plus, she's only eightteen years old! Someone send her a psychiatrist.
Well, maybe she's already paying psychiatrists, doctors and fortune tellers to tell her only good things about her. I mean with such a pile of money attached to your butt, who wouldn't do that?
I sound so envious.
Carana is enjoying her free time and in the morning she actually grabbed the other book I bought yesterday and finished it in one day. After work I saw her drawing a picture again.
"Nightmares?" I asked.
"Yes, that's the only way to get it over with."
"How many have you drawn already?" I sat down next to her and took a closer look at her painting.
She shrugged. "Ten? More or less. I don't know. They're all stored in the cabinet in the bedroom."
I smiled. "You need more ink?"
"Definitely."
"I'll get you some tomorrow."
She nodded and continued drawing.
I have never seen her like that. She seems to be happy, but so sad at the same time. It breaks my heart to see her suffer like this. And the worst thing is that I can't do anything about it. Well, at least I can bring more ink. Thanks to the compensation, which is ironically the reason she needs the ink anyway...
