Our coachman didn't sleep much this night because of the repairs. We wanted to give Mirnda some extra money, but she didn't accept it - with a warm smile I might add.
The last part of the journey to Astatik was peaceful. Only once we passed some strangers in what I think was the darkest spot of all forests, and I really already saw them attacking us with swords and daggers to kill and rob us - in that order. But they just greeted politely and wished us a pleasant journey.
Which, honestly, gave me the creeps.
But after all, we finally arrived in Astatik. I just love this town because it's smaller than Insomida, and people are friendlier. And I heard even the King of Astatik goes to the local market everyday because he likes the people so much.
Carana's parents greeted us warmheartedly and started telling us everything that had happened since we last met them. And believe me when I say that a lot of things have happened. I swear her mother was talking all the time. When she prepared dinner, when we ate, when she showed us around in the new (impressive!) house, when she prepared our bedroom, and even when we were already dressed to go to bed she was telling us stories about Carana's childhood.
Well, we're glad to see that they're happy to have us here. I for myself can't wait for tomorrow because then we'll go around in town and see what the king has accomplished again.
Plus, there are no spiders here. I'm relieved.
