So much for the quick look. I lied down next to Carana, fell asleep and woke up in the morning. Her fever went down over night, fortunately, but she's still coughing a lot. Her mother gave her lots of stuff to cure her illness. I also had to go to the market late afternoon because she forgot some herbs which she needed to prepare a special family medicine.
I'm staying next to her bed all the time, reading my book. I almost finished the first one now and I can't wait to start the second one. I realized I never really talked about the contents of the books. Well, the book I'm reading currently was written by Stam Durkenbarg and is generally a collection of short stories, myths and legends playing in or around Insomida. The book I'm going to read next is called "The Elders" and was written by Silvanna Thimlan and, well I don't know anything about it yet, naturally. Though, Shimad told me that the story is about a wolf and he said if I ever wanted to read a book that would change my life, I should read exactly this one. Why do I get the feeling my high expectations won't be met?
Maybe because Shimad says the same thing about every book. After all, he's just a merchant trying to sell his goods, right?
Carana's mother just came in to ask how Carana was feeling. Her daughter wasn't awake, so I told her that she seems to be doing fine. Sometimes she whispers words randomly though, but that's nothing unusual (it has something to do with her education, and to my surprise, her mother didn't know about it). Her mother nodded, handed me a bottle of water to drink and left the room smiling. How nice of her! Just when I saw the fresh water, I actually realized how thirsty I was.
I could watch Carana all the time. I'd never get tired of how sweet she looks when she's asleep.
Well, I'll step into the world of myths and legends. It's already late, so I'll probably join Carana and sleep as well soon anyway.
